As a career option accounting jobs offer greater job security and financial benefits. But long working hour and work stress may act as discouraging factors. There are other factors that will not sound pleasant for a potential accounting or audit jobs seekers.

Hours
In most cases accounts or audit department work longer than other employees. In fact there is no time limit for accounts division. Frequent travel may also be needed, if you engaged to audit department. So those who feel discomfort about traveling should consider the travel issue.

Deadlines
Working with deadline is a common phenomenon in accounting jobs. Before year ending time is the most stressful situation. Year ending time can be varied as per company policy. Fiscal year and calendar year are the most common types of year ending.

Job Availability
It is most available and common jobs. It is a mandatory department of any companies, regardless of commercial or welfare or charity organizations. If you browse through any finance news, you would find many employment opportunities circular.

Pay
You would find many professional degrees in accounting. More you have professional degree, more likely you will be paid highly. General accounting degree will less likely to provide you higher salary or remuneration.

You may avoid above mentioned problems by your sincerity and dedication. It would not be tough for you to above those issues. But sometimes you may also face discrimination towards accounts department. It is a belief among many, that it is a non productive division and has no contribution in business growth.
